1.No Japanese cars. . In fact, you don't see any foreign cars on the roads. They are all Korean


2.Hate TV Commericals? then you would hate North korea TV

Commercial breaks are longer than the actual program. Sometimes, you'll just be getting into a Korean soap, and then a commercial break will start and go on and on and on and on. So, you wait, right? And what comes on after the commercial break? A completely different program! So, you never do get to find out which one of those two guys she ***** up with. I guess if you are watching the board game or video game channels, it doesn't really matter anyway
3.There are loudspeakers everywhere

here are mobile shops (flatbed trucks) constantly cruising the streets, with loudspeakers turned up to maximum volume, advertising everything from onions to computers. The schools have even bigger and louder loudspeakers blaring out ********'s songs, physical-education instructions etc. not only to the whole school, but to the entire neighbourhood

It's crazy, my father once got the chance to visit North Korea on a paid business trip, but he was asked to leave his cellphone, laptop, books, and mp3 player at the airport so he wouldn't contact anyone or spread any "propaganda" on his stay there. At this time he was a well respected business man world wide. He deiced it was too outrageous for someone of his status to be treated like a criminal and didn't *** up visiting after all.

I've heard about that kind of thing. My teacher used to live in South Korea and went to the North to visit. I wish some day they will get their freedom back. But well, at least they are happy somehow. Probably cause they were raised that way.

I once looked up North Korea as a travel destination and it stated, "Travel to North Korea is not recommended at this time". Well, I thought it was funny.

My father was drafted into the U.S. Army and sent to Korea (7th Cavalry). To this day, he is extremely bitter about having been sent there. He came to the same conclusion young people would come to regarding Viet Nam a decade and a half later-we had no business being there and would not prevail in the sort of victory we had in WWII. He saw it was a losing bet right from the minute he set foot on Korean soil.

To this day, he refuses to accept any kind of VA check or medical and has it stated emphatically in his will he does not wish a military funeral. I have never seen him so bitter toward anything that happened that long ago (or since).
