I grew up in a farm community and stayed with my Grandmother every summer during harvest time. I helped her with chores, butchering chickens and cooking for the harvest hands. I miss that kind of life.

I was not suited for life on a farm and that's why I left home. Also, it's tough to make a living on a small farm. I am ready for retirement on the farm though.
As crime gets worse in the cities, I'm looking forward to living out my days in peace and semi-solitude.

I'm just going to say no since I'm not an early riser. Never have been, never will be.

I would really enjoy that lifestyle, but perhaps not the financial rewards.

i love outdoor work, and physical activity. I am most comfortable in a natural surrounding, and my coveralls lol.... and love tractors and equipment, as well as having the ability to repair and build them....

Depends on the size and crop or animal we are to raise.

Not anymore. I'd work one day and be laid up for a week. Wouldn't get much done that way.

I grew up on a Farm!!!
We had 5 Milk Cows (Jersey), chickens = Fresh Eggs, Hogs = Pork!!!
What was fun was coming down for Breakfast, Opening the Fridge and seeing a Couple Pints of HEAVY Cream at the Top of a Gallon of Milk, and Stirring it all up!!! YUM!!!

Then Came Mr. Carter and the Bank Melt-down in the Seventies!!! Bank Foreclosed on our Family Farm!!! Heard a LOT of Stories like that back then!!!

Not anymore. But I think it's a great place to grow up. Everyone should have that opportunity to see how to survive on one's own and learn to take responsibility for oneself. Now I'm just too ****** old...
