For the first time ever, Canadians are richer than Americans. The average Canadian household is worth about $40,000 more than their American counterparts. Would you ever move to Canada?

I would have to agree with you on that one! Not being able to defend oneself with a gun is totally stupid! Of course...you can't even defend yourself in Canada with a rolling pin so....

And exactly who would you be defending yourself against? The friendly neighbors? The moose that you're legally allowed to hunt? ...did a moose bite your sister once?

Canada has very hot summers! We've been having a heat wave lately for the past two weeks....38 C which equals to a little over 100 degress farenheit. Of course up North in the middle of nowhere they are cooler.

LOL! I have relatives in Seattle, Washington and some of their friends actually thought that all Canadian's did exactly that! Two hours from the Canadian/American Border...and this is what they thought.
Actually ....last year in Toronto, Ontario and in the Province of Quebec...temperatures during the Summer hit up to 50 degrees Celsius which is approx. 122 degrees Farenheit. The heat wave lasted for almost a month. People were dying due to the heat. They had Blackouts due to all the power usage for air conditioners running on high. So...it can get very hot in Canada. Especially the Southern parts which border the USA.

I am a 100% American-made patriot. Nothing could induce me to live in any other country, especially not money.

The only way I'd move there however... is if I could find a relativly warm spot. Cold affects me pretty badly on my legs and arms, so I hate winters even as far north as Seattle or Portland.

Well, there's actually another good reason not to move to Canada.

You know how lots of people say Obama's a dictator?

The Prime Minister of Canada ACTUALLY IS a Dictator. Set himself up in his position for life, eliminated all opposing political parties, made it illegal to oppose him in any fashion...

For me, it's HOW you define rich.

My definition isn't bounded by money alone.

I think you need to look up how Canada works before you say such things. And the fact you even said Democrats are socialist and didn't state the facts says you won't fix anything by complaining. The problem is that at least 90% percent of our government officials on both sides are corrupt and don't care about the people.

Canada is even more liberal than America. I didn't even state anything about Canada, I just love my country and prefer to say here. "And the fact you even said Democrats are socialist and didn't state the facts says you won't fix anything by complaining. " One, Democrats support socialized medicare which is socialism. Look at all the trouble it has gotten in to in countries in Europe. Obamacare is costing us over $100 billion a year and it is expected to cost us over $1.2 trillion in the next ten years. That is socialism. I was just stating my opinion, I'm not even complaining. With all of these corrupt politicians, it's very **** to fix anything. I could run for POTUS but I probably would *** up getting shot for making too much sense. The media would attack me too. You wanted facts, I gave it to you. I was stating an opinion at first though.

We waste too much of our budget already. We could cut the military budget by a certain amount, put that towards more useful things like clean energy, save more than we put in. Cut all money from the government to the oil industry as its billions wasted. Our banking system needs to be forced to pay up and clean up their acts. Honestly, we could save well over 1.2 trillion in the next 10 years including your added debt for "Obamacare." If we actually cleaned our government out and put in people who actually cared, things would be improving also. A very small percentage of our elected officials actually care. "Obamacare" may be socialist in idea, but that doesn't make it a bad thing. The idea itself id good. It could use some cleaning up, but most government decisions in our country could use that. Our overall reluctance to change is our current downfall. That and brainwashing. But everyone can blame anything on brainwashing. I honestly believe both parties need to be completely torn down and remade from the ground up with the people's best interests in mind. If we waste our time time targeting one, it continues the game of going back and forth and getting little done. I can say I'm not the best at phrasing things and explaining them, but I sill try to get the point across.

..Canadians are wonderful people, and they're smart enough to spend money on Canadians instead of on war profiteers and pointless, unwinnable wars...I'd move there in a minute...

Some reasons why Canadians have so much money is that Canada has almost an insignificant military thus very small of taxes are wasted on the military, socialized medicine is less that 1/2(or more) the cost per person compared to the US,about 1 out of every 3 Canadians belong to unions and labour unions, and unions are looked at with pride. The minimum wage is much higher thus there is money to spend making a strong economy.

The Canadians are not richer than Americans. It's comparing apples to oranges, Canada has 1/10th the population of the US. I would never move to Canada, for any amount of money.
