Best Cars: Which country builds them?

Britain has long produced some of the world's most luxurious vehicles, including Jaguar, Bentley, Rolls Royce. Germany is well known for engineering. The Volkswagen is popular worldwide, as is BMW and Porsche. Many feel the Italians do it best, manufacturing the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Alfa Romero. Japanese cars are quite popular for their dependability, including brands like Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and Mitsubishi. The United States continues to produce high *** vehicles such as Cadillac and Lincoln.

The whole Japnese car being more dependable is BS just as many problems as any other car. Look at ford today they are making great cars. I myself am going to buy the new Mustang for 2011 that gets 30 MPG and 305HP. Try getting that in any Jap car.

On a side note according to the article I am not exactly sure how engineering is better on German cars if dependability is better with Jap cars lol

One of the fastest cars of all time the mclaren f1 held the the production car speed record for over ten year is still the fifth fastest car and is being updated next year with the p11.
The best handling or most agile car with the lotus exige.
The fastest accelerating car with the ariel atom v10
The best looking cars with the e-type jag and the aston db9
The nurburgring record with the radical sr8
The best offroad car with the land rover defender
One of the best cheap cars of all time with the original mini
Most motorsport teams are also based here in the uk including red bull, mercedes gp, mclaren and so on and over 60% of engineers and team principles in f1 are british so im sorry germany your engineers are beaten at least in motorsport.

Britian! we make Aston martin, bentley, jaguar, land rover, lotus, TVR, the Bristol, the mini, mclaren..... these are the best cars in the world for everything; speed, luxury, comfort, style, looks, desirability, compactness (in the case of the mini), 4X4 and ********. Honestly most other cars cant touch these cars; british cars arnt built and manufactured they are created and are brought to life, they really are the best in the world.

I don't have a preference because I don't like cars so I can't really say anything except maybe that America probably makes fewer cars that fit my code than the other countries do because over here we mostly have big/powerful cars not economy cars like I would drive.

Buying foreign vehicles over the past 20 years has finally helped put thousands of AMERICANS out of a job. Too bad folks didn't pressure the AMERICAN auto companies to satify the AMERICAN public.

We did. We said build a better car, one that won't fall apart and one that gets good gas mileage. We said build better or we buy elsewhere. They didn't, we did now they ***** cause we bought someone elses car. Have they gotten the idea yet.... GMC trucks (Don't even bother putting the mileage on them anymore, last time they posted it 17 mpg in the city 21 on the hwy) a year ago. Guess NOT!
