I'm the confidant of more people than I can count because of it. I know things I do not want to know because not only do I listen, I can be counted on to never, ever repeat a confidence.

Needed a 3rd option like BOTH, in the line of work I do I do a lot of listening, my patients love to tell their stories but no one wants to take the time to listen so when I take care of them I listen and when its time I talk...I have the best teachers ever to teach me about history...

I used to be a listener, as I was very shy, and did not know what to say.. NOW, I am an equal, listener to talker. I can talk your head off, or listen to you. ☺
I think listening,,now, IS A GIFT TO THE TALKER. Not many people want to listen.

I gave up on talking...doesn't do any good. But great at listening.
