I've seen plenty of groups on facebook. Here's just one link. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=151363471591084

Or better yet emailing the gas companies?

Let's not buy gas one day just to go buy it the next, or the previous day. This is not a protest, it's a lazy generation stroking their own ego buy saying look at this thing we can do........without really inconveniencing ourselves or others in any way. Aren't we great. Plus, I'm not just ********, I'm a part of said generation.

If they really wanted to do something they'd camp out in front of a Texaco or Shell office for a few weeks and stop people from going inside. Or you know, do the same thing in front of the office of any number of politicians who've been bought, sold, built and rebuilt by the price fixing, customer gauging crooks.

I think petrol is extremely cheap in the USA compared to The UK and most of Europe, I pay £1.30 per Litre, that's £6.00 per Imperial Gallon, or the inequivalent of paying $7.96 for a US Gallon.

Well, I don't drive, and I live in a city.
But one of the pages just happens to be the week I'll be back home and I don't plan on sitting around the house all day.
And the one you posted is on St. Pat's day, but I'll be in class or bar all day, so I don't need any gas.

If enough people do it (and hopefully alot will)
It will show the government that they can't push us around
and charge outrageous prices just because they are greedy.
It's disgusting charging that much just because it's the one thing we NEED.
Cause people that live off tips and minimum wage can't afford to live
thus pushing everyone slowly to bankrupt.
Or maybe that's just what they want.....

The government has no control over it.

It does not matter if you believe it our not. Gas prices are up all around the world. The only people that can lower the price are the companies that sell it. It would not even matter if we taped more oil wells here in the US because those companies that drill in the US sell almost 85% of all that oil to other countries.

Actually it's not.
Because the town i live in the price has been the same for about 2 weeks.
I'm aware that only the people that sell it can lower it. I'm not dense.
But who controls them? Exactly.
Now please take your arguments to someone who cares. Thanks.

The government may have legal control over a corporation, but has no control over it as long as it is following the law. The point being, its the not the governments fault its not really even the companies fault, its the situation in the middle east and oil slowly running out that is to blame.
