Read the full article and see video of how it works HERE.

" A new exploit of Adobe's Flash media application could potentially allow websites to access your webcam without your permission.

The exploit, which only affects Macs thus far, can be performed on web surfers using Safari and Firefox web browsers.

The hole in Adobe's security features was discovered by a Stanford computer science major named Feross Aboukhadijeh, who told Adobe about it.

After weeks without a response, Aboukhadijeh decided to make the glitch publicly known, in an attempt to force Adobe's hand. His plan worked, and Adobe released a statement saying they were working on the problem...

Adobe has a lot to answer for.,

I couldn't agree more. It seems to me the only agenda the right wing has right now is to get Obama out of office and the rest of the country is paying for it dearly. I live in a very red state and I can tell you I am not at all pleased with the direction our Governor has taken. It seems that he has began his own personal attempt to curb spending and this state will pay for it dearly.

You and me both! They opine that the same was done to Bush, so this is only fair turn-about. Other presidents HAVE taken their share of mocking and ridicule, but it was mostly confined to their politics; if you look at political cartoons from 100 years ago, they could get pretty pointedly nasty. But the personal animosity directed toward Obama is something new, and never, NEVER was there this level of hatred toward a First Lady. I had an inkling of what was coming when I saw a video of one of the first tea party rallies, where an older guy was gleefully dangling, over his head, a stuffed monkey toy wearing a fez with "Hussein" written across it.

Fortunately I missed that but it speaks right at what I referred to. I am quite sure that Obama knew all this would come about when he ran for office and it makes you wonder how he saw fit to give it a try. Glad he did however.

I really don't think he expected the malice directed at him - who could have imagined it? I could not believe some of the wacky emails I got day after day, during the campaign and after the election! And most people believed every one! One of my proudest accomplishments is that I managed to make 3 people (one of them my husband!) stop and question the validity of the chain-mails they were being inundated with. (One still doesn't like Obama, but at least she's not forwarding every bogus email that comes to her!) I wouldn't hesitate to vote for him again if there were ANY chance that the Republicans would not pull the same crap for his second term. I will definitely NOT be voting for any of the RW ya-hoos put on display so far.
I watched part of the debates on Tuesday - I thought they were putting us on - that it was the lead-in for some wacky new reality show! All that was missing was Jerry Springer - LOL!

HA HA! I can't say I have watched any of those debates but there have been plenty of reviews of it and I think you were kind about it. :) I very much agree that they are a scary bunch. I would not vote of anything they have inflicted on this nation so far. Too bad they couldn't have had Springer moderating the debates. At least the audience could have been chanting "Jerry" "Jerry" to make it entertaining. LOL!

Yikes! Even my Republican sister-in-law couldn't stomach watching it! Sometimes I think we are so buried in the "reality show" culture, it's already taken over politics too. look at the swinging door parade of Republican candidates and their behavior.

Yes I think you may very well be right. I just hope this nation wakes up and see's what is really going on. If we don't and end up with both a republican controlled congress and White House we will all be in trouble. But that rude awakening will be far too late then.

That thought gives me the willies! My husband always asks me why I get so upset about "politics" and especially the RW wack jobs. It's because these people vote, and the results will effect us, our children and grandchildren. I wouldn't worry so much if "they" were at all inclined to work with "us", but they steam roller right over anyone that questions their agenda. Look at what happened in Wisconsin!

Well, since I don't have one anyway and no big plans to get one anytime soon, I'm not that concerned, but thanks for the heads up. If it's on one platform, what's to say it won't move to Windows PCs, if it already hasn't?

What disturbs me the most is the vicious attacks on this President and his wife. It may be that I just never experience it before but this seems way over the top. And, sadly, I think I know the reason. There is virtually nothing that he could ever do that they could ever agree with. I only hope there are enough people in this country that have enough sense to see through all this.

It doesn't even pay to attempt a debate a certain segment here. They believe the sleaziest, most disgusting stuff because that's what they WANT to believe. Indeed very disheartening!

This is just another reason not to get a web cam. If you want to discuss potential dangers, you should be concerned about smartphones.

The idea concerns me, but as far as someone activating MY cam...LOL - most of the time it's pointed toward the ceiling, and anyone that wants to waste time watching what goes on in my kitchen - I feel for them!

You sure have that right. Hardly a new thought among all of them.
Much easier to just copy I guess. :)

Every time I get caught in one of those I end up doing the same thing. Now and then I do run across someone that wants to debate but it rare. Very disheartening.

LOL! As well you should! Not much reasonableness running around these parts either. HA! Here is another complement for you to try on. I have found that it takes great intelligence for someone to use subtle humor. I can see you are a master of that! :)

Yeah, but I think I'm done there - always leave 'em wanting more, right? I don't often stoop to mocking people, but sometimes I can't resist! I mean, when they leave the door open....

HA HA! And they do leave it wide open don't they. Next time I get into a heated argument I may have to call on you. You have a great calming effect. :) I noticed that right in the middle of all that was the only person that has ever blocked me. Guess that is the only way I will see her again. Ha! Thank goodness.

Oops, I lied! I just couldn't resist taking another peek at that poll! Actually, I usually just roll my eyes and walk away from a poll like that one. It's depressing to see such evidence that so many people actually think that way. And they just feed off each other, endlessly!
