Depends. It doesn't matter to me how you spell it, I know what you mean. But.....
1.) Bologna is a sandwich meat.
2.) Boloney or baloney is a word used for 'nonsense' or 'bullsh*t', such as "That's a bunch of baloney."
Just my 2 cents.

Is the grammatically correct way, but I would argue not the most phonetically correct one.

I feel that it has two different meaning (1) Bologna=You put it in between two slices of bread. (2) Baloney=You are not telling the truth-Your just full of it.

In my opinion, I'm much healthier than most meat eaters. They tell me that being a vegetarian is unhealthy because I don't get enough protein this way, but they don't understand that there are plenty of other sources of protein.

The food is spelled b-o-l-o-g-n-a. The term "baloney" refers to the slang term for foolishness or nonsense.

It is the traditional, and in my opinion, more fun way to spell it. I love the complete lack of obedience to English rules of phonetics. Go, BOLOGNA, it's a total rebel.
