18-year-old Saira Blair, a Republican from West Virginia, just became the youngest elected lawmaker in the country after trouncing her 44-year-old Democratic opponent 63 percent to 30 percent to earn a seat in West Virginia’s House of Delegates.
Blair – who beat a two-term incumbent in the primary when she was just 17, too young to even vote for herself – said in an interview on “Fox and Friends” in May that she wants to borrow ideas from Texas to bring more jobs to West Virginia.

On “Outnumbered” today, Kennedy said Blair’s accomplishment is fantastic, and although she doesn’t wish Blair a life in the frustrating, irrational business of politics, the teenager certainly has gotten an interesting start to her ********* and looks poised for big things.

Tucker Carlson, on the other hand, felt sympathy for Blair’s opponent.
“Can you imagine the midlife crisis that would ensue if you were beaten by a college student?” Carlson joked. “It’s **** enough being 44.”
Watch the "Outnumbered" panel discuss Blair's victory in the clip above and see her “Fox and Friends” interview below.

Kinda tells you how Obama's 'War on Coal' has destroyed the Democratic Party brand in West Virginia.I have not seen a state go from deep blue to a red state in quite a while. But Kentucky is a close second.

So you think she should not be there?

That's a good point. But I think twenties would be a little more appropriate.

It's opening itself up to new and fresh ideas. I'd rather have this than some fool who has held onto the seat for years and years.

Well...I want to believe you but I do have my doubts. But then again I guess it doesn't matter.

Are you a democrat? Just asking.

I admit to being surprised myself. But I take it as an indication of the mood of the country.

To each their own, but I'm positively shocked she got elected.

I've worked for many people younger than myself and never had an issue yet. In this case, I've found I'm not happy at all with the decisions of people years Older than I, so letting her have a shot is fine by me.

That's not what I said. I said serving, I made it a verb. Yes she's serving in office but in doing so she is not serving someone above her she is part of the decision making. Personally I wouldn't let an 18 year old I didn't know choose what I'm having for breakfast but if you want her making laws than okkkkkk

Oh, elected office doesn't qualify as public service?

She's not serving, she's making decisions.

Old enough to vote, old enough to serve in our military. Why not serve in government?

**** no. She should not be taking on that kind of responsibility.. She is most likely just a face for someone else. I applaud her ambition and success, but at 18 she should not be in that position.

No.

Also, they are too young to go into the military.

I hear what you're saying, opinion, but I guess we shouldn't judge until she's given some time to prove herself.
