Nothing but what's so wrong with just wanting to be yourself instead of imitating others?

Nothing is wrong with wanting to be like Jesus, if your view of Jesus is orthodox.

Nothing is wrong with wanting to be like a good person.

Blindly following his faith with no absolute proof though--completely different matter

to each their own I guess

I just can't get behind believing in something that cannot be proved true

But some people have very distorted views on how to like Jesus

yes, to each his own...is true..I can't imagine not having faith in ***..I hope some day, he speaks to you in a way only you will know that it's him.

Blind Faith... Lying to yourself when you know its a lie.....LOL

That, in no way shape or form, should be considered a virtue. "Santa Claus for ******" applies here

who asked you?

No one, except you sound like the little kid who "just needs to believe in magic!" and you're perfectly okay with it. It's unnerving that someone can be willfully ignorant, and it terrifies me for the future of the human race.

well, I'm not a little kid, like you...I could be your grandmother...what business is it of yours wheather I believe or not..sorry that "unnerves" you...I will pray for you. have a nice day

And you believe simply because it makes you feel better. Well, at the very least I appreciate you're honesty. Most feel that way and try to ********* around instead of admitting it,

You'll pray for me? I'll put you in my letter to Santa. Buhbye!

don't tell me why or how I believe...you need all the guidance and prayers you can get...*** Bless you in all you do.

Nothing, as long as it is JESUS you're emulating. Some people pervert Jesus' messages for their own bigotry and selfishness.

I don't want to be like Jesus, because if he were real, then he is dead...
0 votes
by
I wasn't aware there was anything wrong with that.

Of course that means being against violence, in favor of **********, and having tolerance for all. Traits many "Christians" do not approve of.

nothing but the majority could never do it nor myself

Oh, you being a long haired anti-establishment hippie love type guy,... nothing at all.

I don't want to be a lawn boy!

Nothing... except maybe the dying on a cross thing.

There was a reason for that.

No arguments here.
But your or my death in that manner wouldn't have the same effect.

Nothing but wanting and being like Christ are two different things. A person can quote the Bible, know the Bible front and back, go to church ever Sunday, and sometimes midweek for church functions but have an evil side so bad, church members would be shocked and hold a prayer chain about them. Words are cheap, actions speak louder, so nothing wrong wanting to be like him but don't stop there, try and act as Christ would want you to act.

1 John 2:6

The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

Nothing. Now, professing that he was the son of *** with no real evidence, that's a problem. And wanting to institute the rest of the bible into law- there's something wrong with that too.

It's like, we should all try to be like Superman if we can. Doesn't make Superman real

There is certainly nothing wrong with wanting to be like Jesus. The world would be a much better place if our main goals were love of *** and love of fellow man.

Nothing at all. But know if you emmulate him, the world will hate you, persecute you and despise you. But, who should you fear? Man, who can only destroy the body or the One who can destroy the body and condemn the soul...

Nothing. What's bad is shoving it in everyone's face.

He lied about the time of his return; it is wrong to lie.

That isn't the only lie this Jesus of the bible told..But of course everything Jesus supposedly said was written by men, and not one writer of the bible ever met the dude...

What Would Jesus Do?

Advocate ***** abuse and murder amongst many other cruelties.

Christians are always claiming, “he’s the lamb”, “our savior”, “the king of peace”, “the embodiment of love”, amongst the many other names they ********* with a loving, merciful nature. Jesus a nice guy? Not in my book. Nor in any other person’s who is capable of compassion and rationality. Let’s examine who the **** the Jesus character really is. These verses will show not only is Jesus’ “loving” nature a joke but so are the Christians who worship him. Jesus’ real mission to come to earth:

Jesus says that he has come to destroy families by making family members hate each other. He has “come not to send peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34

Jesus says, “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace on earth! No, rather a sword lf you love your father, mother, sister, brother, more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. “The real beauty of this verse is that Jesus demands people truly love him more then they love their own family. I ask you how can we love someone that we can not see or interact with? Love is an emotion pertaining to physical existence not to faithful ideologies, yet *** threatens you with Death just because your love for your mother maybe stronger than your lo...

Love is an emotion pertaining to physical existence not to faithful ideologies, yet *** threatens you with Death just because your love for your mother maybe stronger than your love for him. Matthew 10:34

Families will be torn apart because of Jesus. “Brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the *****: and the ******** shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death." Matthew 10:21

Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn’t the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. Matthew 5:17

Jesus advocates murder and death:

Jesus condemns entire cities to dreadful deaths and to the eternal torment of **** because they didn’t care for his preaching. Matthew 11:20

Jesus, whose clothes are dipped in blood, has a sharp sword sticking out of his mouth. Thus attired, he treads the winepress of the wrath of ***. (The winepress is the actual press that humans shall be put into so that we may be ground up.) Revelations 19:13-15

The beast and the false prophet are cast alive into a lake of fire. The rest of us the unchosen will be killed with the sword of Jesus. “An all the fowls were filled with their flesh.” Revelations 19:20-21

Jesus says he is the only way to salvation yet he purposely disillusions us so that we will go to ****:

Jesus explains that the reason he speaks in parables is so that no one will understand him, “lest . . . they . . . should understand . . . and should be converted, and I should heal them.” Matthew 13:10-15

Jesus explains why he speaks in parables to confuse people so they will go to ****. Mark 4:11-12

Jesus advocates ***** abuse:

Jesus is criticized by the Pharisees for not washing his hands before eating. He defends himself by attacking them for not killing disobedient ******** according to the commandment: “He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” Matthew 15:4-7

Abandon your wife and ******** for Jesus and he’ll give your a big reward. Jesus asks that his followers abandon their ******** to follow him. To leave your ***** is abuse, it’s called neglect, pure and simple. Matthew 19:29

Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient ******** according to Old Testament law. Mark 7:9

A few other things about Jesus:

Jesus says that those who have been less fortunate in this life will have it even worse in the life to come. Mark 4:25

Jesus sends the devils into 2000 pigs, causing them to jump off a cliff and be drowned in the sea. Clearly Jesus could have simply sent the devils out, yet he chose instead to place them into pigs and kill them. This is called animal abuse. Mark 5:12-13

Jesus kills a fig tree for not bearing figs, even though it was out of season. Jesus must not be as smart as Christians would have us believe, for he was retarded enough to do something this silly. You’d think the son of *** (*** incarnate) would know that trees don’t bear fruit in dry season. Mark 11:13

Luke 12:47 Jesus okays beating slaves.

Nothing whatsoever is "wrong with it"... as long as that is one's true intent.

The problems arise when some people profess to believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ but their words and actions do not in any way reflect it. Those problems become worse when certain individuals try to use their alleged beliefs as a way to control, denigrate, or oppress others.

jesus christ actions reflect problems individuals alleged beliefs denigrate oppress

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be as much like Jesus as a person can possibly be.

Nothing, that is what our goal should be. Only progressives think Loving one another as a threat.

I didn't say it- You did

"that IS called faith, following with no absolute proof....just believing...blind faith..and it's wonderful"

At least you aren't claiming evidence that isn't there, that at least I can respect. And for future reference, saying "i'll pray for you" to someone that doesn't believe in your *** is like saying "I'll fart for you."
