I'm talking about the moment at which you DO choose. If I choose heaven, I (ME, not *** or anyone else) is condemning others to ****. I become complicit in the system in which I am benefiting.
I am an enforcer for the mob, and getting kickbacks while Nunzio breaks peoples' legs. I'm not breaking peoples' legs. They're CHOOSING to defy the Don, and the Don makes the rules. The only one guilty of getting their legs broke is the stupid sap who doesn't pay his vig.
And I sit in a jaccuzi on that vig.
To further illustrate, when making a choice, there is always a third option.
Not heaven, not ****, but something else.
I choose "protest."
I see the choices before me, and I choose neither. I sit in nonviolent protest of the torture going on in ****.
I demand that *** reform ****, because I cannot accept heaven if **** still exists.
And if that nonviolent protest is evil, then the *** I'm protesting is evil too.
Jesus would protest at such a choice, I'm sure of it.
