What the mainstream who's only brush with it is the incredibly misinformation filled Fifty Shades of Grey book which is nothing like real bdsm, often thinks is that BDSM is a big scary terrible thing born from ****** and hate.

I am really into BDSM and have been in relationships based around it. It is nothing to do with perversion at all. It is about the intimacy that arises when someone else would debase themselves in any way you see fit to make you happy. Where they turn their whole body into a vessel for your fulfillment. It is such a powerful statement of love and intimacy where your happiness is so dear to them that they would give up their bodily autonomy to express it. As a dominant ****** personality who also really needs to be loved and adored and craves intimacy, it is very potent and fulfilling to someone like me.
Of course, if I have a partner who is not into it, that is totally cool. There are lots of ways to be intimate and show love, it is just that BDSM is one way that I enjoy and it irks me the way it is portrayed as misogynistic. It can get a little (or a big bit) rough sometimes, yes, but it is never about hate.

It's like any aspect of ***, it can be the ultimate form of trust of it can be abusive. My interests are pretty mild in the scheme of what's out there :)

Consenting ****** that is. domination without consent is something that happened to me before and not something I ever want to relive.

I have no problem with it, what one chooses to do ******** in the privacy of their own home is their business, as long as they are two ******.

Not the shape I'm aiming for. BDSM is messed up. Female domination is messed up. Look on Google images and you'll see that most images are about tadgers and sodomy. No sense of beauty whatsoever.

I have no time whatsoever for BDSM. It's an ugly acronym. It's a catch-all concept that includes many unpleasant and hideous things.

It's not for me. I guess I can see the appeal.

I say whatever floats your boat but make sure you know what you are getting yourself into before you agree....Fifty Shades of Grey is mild compared to what some folks like..so do your homework. I think it can be a lot of things, and I can see the appeal..

BDSM has been around for a long time. Its been popular as long as I can remember. One chick book isn't going to change that.

It's a personal thing, if you don't like it then you don't like it, but don't make others feel bad about it

I have mixed feelings about it......but I think it could be fun with the right person if they both were into it and there wasn't any judgement.

This answer sounds like a *** game. I just want to point that out that I don't agree with the answer it just made me laugh.

ALRIGHT my real answer: It is all about trust. Two consenting, trusting ****** really have to trust each other to do some of this stuff- though my own ****** persuasions are a lot more mild than most of the stuff you might find online.
