Be committed to the person you love...
Remember this is your only adventure/journey together...work at your relationship.
Remember that moment you realized you loved them often and don't try to change them.
Communicate to one another...This is very important...especially the listening to what they are saying part.

not insulting each other,
being honest to each other - please don't lie if you don't like a meal (I will cook it again if you say you like it),
having code symbols for when we were getting really pissed off, so we could take temporary breaks from each other without arguing (in my last relationship - I would cover my eyes with my hands)
cuddle time,
spending time and taking care of each other while we are sick

100% openness faith and trust. Both in God and in eachother. And this is what I mean by trust. If I was in a situation , say on a bridge and disaster was imminent. And my husband told me to jump off that bridge possably to my death, I wouldn't hesitate. Because I have faith, I have trust in him. I trust that he had my back, that he had my best intrests in mind. I know and trust that whatever he saw coming that gave him cause to tell me to jump, that I stood a better chance living off the bridge than on it. And even if I die in that jump, I have faith and trust that I died a more merciful death than what awaited me on that bridge.

You can spice things up, or you can do the little things that made you fall for each other in the first place :)
