We've heard of arachnophobia, claustrophobia, agoraphobia and fear of clowns, but ... fear of bunny rabbits?

Yep ... it's a real "fear."

According to Slate, a German student who claimed her teacher was terrified of rabbits was exonerated in a defamation suit on Tuesday when the judge determined that the teacher did have leporiphobia (or as we like to call it, and irrational fear of adorable bunnies).

A chalk drawing of a bunny caused the teacher to cry and flee her classroom. Is she crazy? Maybe not. Snakes, bugs, and rodents are the most feared members of the animal kingdom, according to Slate -- and rabbits were considered rodents until 1912. Who knew?

Tennis star Andy Roddick is rumored to have a fear of rabbits -- and he may have good reason to be. Bunnies are the best-known source of tularemia, also known as "rabbit fever," a bacterial infection that can be deadly, Slate reports.

My cat brings in dissected ones all the time. Maybe he should be afraid of zombie rabbits. But they'd all target him, so I'm fine ;)
However, there are weirder phobias than this! Like Hippopotomonstrosesquippedali...
(I can almost spell that correctly without help!)

But I can understand where these people are coming from since I have a bit of an irrational fear myself. I mean I see a picture and I nearly have a panic attack.

I love bunnies! They're so adorable! Most fears are irrational though...XD Like Clowns. I just don't understand how people can be afraid of Clowns.

What a lovely pic of the bunny, I just love rabbits, and cats. Don't have any myself, did do though when I was a kid. I really would like a couple of rabbits and a cat but I don't think I could give them the attention they deserve. Just too many other things going on. Pity really, oh well, such is life I suppose.

I watched Donny Darko late one night. After the movie I went to close my back door and saw a grey rabbit staring at me from the yard. It freaked me out. Aside from that moment, I don't fear rabbits.
