Eating Dung And Drinking ****

"But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own **** with you?" (II Kings 18:27)

Only in what you are trying to make of it with the spin you evidently intend to place on it. So . you tell us ... what is going on and what and why is this being said, and to whom? Biblical scholars and linguists like yourself surely know.

No, you simply fabricate/concoct stories that you believe substantiate your very errant/ridiculous position of things of which you obviously know nothing.

Guess you DO NOT not understand what I wrote before.

You posts show me you have not read II Kings nor studied the bible much. You should, there are some great stories and a lot of love in those pages for you.
As for taking things out of context, as I said before. learned that lesson long ago and so have many other Christian believers.
So stop, please, repeating things that are not true.

There, there, your impatience and anger are poking through for all to see. But I AM incredulous about one thing, though; your repeated and persistent refusal to read your cherished verse within the narrow and greater Biblical context. You still haven't quite gotten the hang of study or comprehension. Additionally, you have no control when it comes to staying _on topic_but wander about like a sheep without a shepherd.

To save your brain a bit of effort, I am repeating a post Denai posted in response to your question. Sit still, open your mind and THINK!!! Consider what she says. Otherwise your anger and ranting will just paint you with a big "stupid brush." Here:

"The verse is talking about people being under siege [that will be so devastating] that they will grow so hungry and thirsty that they will eat the waste from their own bodies.

See, don't take verses out of context, it never works. A lesson learned long ago, so no I don't and a lot of other "guys like me" don't do it either."

Of course it sounds awful when taken out of context.

No, it is the invective you hurl at people of the faith, spewed out through lips that seem to know nothing but hatred ... certainly they have no knowledge of any real kind.

There ya go again, employing a favorite LibProg tactic .... going off topic. It is not about my lack of comprehension, but yours, not understanding the nature of the passage you quoted, taking it out of context, and refusing to acknowledge its contextual meaning. That is normally a matter of 1) ignorance, 2) intentional ignorance, 3) a disingenuous mind, 4) your educational level is below that of the forth grade.

I honestly don't believe you have absorbed a thing you have been shown. Your rejection of the obvious leaves one with one very obvious conclusion - your lack in compression of any kind, and that lack could prove fatal.

???? I hope you don't think I was referring to in my great "unwashed" comment. I was speaking of OGK.

If reading comprehension is taught, I think I can point out a certain 'someone' who obviously failed ... OGK.

Where do the get these ideas from ? I am wondering about the educational system if they are teaching comprehension in school.

Another from among the host of the unlearned. Not you .... OGK.

The verse is talking about people being under siege that they will grow so hungry and thirsty that they will eat the waste from their own bodies.

There's not context you can put that in and make it sound right. And i find funny you guys always use that excuse, when you guys take the bible out of context yourselves.

My reading comprehension of II Kings 18 is fine. In fact, I double checked myself before I even responded to you. Two different Bible translations and a couple of concordances.
So, I challenge you to do the same...read the whole of II Kings 18 - 20 and you will find out taking one verse out of the whole chapter ruins the story.
